As a founding member of revered New York hip-hop group Main Source, Large Pro put out a hip-hop classic straight out of the gate. Since then, Extra P’s sound has given you Nas’s “It Ain’t Hard To Tell,” Tribe’s “Keep it Rollin’” and nearly all of Kool G Rap and DJ Polo’s Wanted: Dead or Alive among others. His productions in the mid-nineties defined the term “boom bap.” Which is exactly what to expect with his first LP in over three years. Whose World Is This is the new album from Iranian
born producer K-Salaam alongside young American
producer Beatnick. With his new set, K-Salaam
‘wanted to create something that would serve as a
voice for people who do not have one’.

The result is an 18 tracks set including vocals by

On Fake Four Records, Canadian producer Factor has made a name for himself over the better half of the last ten years providing beats for major underground players including members of the Living Legends, Project Blowed and the Shapeshifters as well as home-country heroes the Swollen Members! Building this reputation allowed him to create his own label (Sideroad Records) which has become a haven for underground Canadian artists. With Factor at the helm of almost every release, this makes him one of the hardest working producers out there. The Chandelier marks perhaps some of Factor’s best work to date and features appearances by Ceschi Ramos (Toca, Anonymous Inc.), Awol One, Kirby Dominant, Moka Only, Josh Martinez, hip hop legend Sadat X and more! Again excellent production and a great mix of emcees contributing make this one of the most solid releases of the year!
