The Gigantics is a five-man production team assembled by Onry Ozzborn (a.k.a. Reason and Count Draven of Grayskul/Oldominion). Die Already is their debut and features the voices of over 50 of the most influential and talented people in independent hip hop today. Far from a compilation, this album pulls disparate artists from their respective groups and weaves them together into a dream team.
Among the many outstanding individuals appearing here are Aesop Rock, Murs, Mr. Lif (Def Jux), Swollen Members, Eligh (of Living Legends), Pigeon John (Quannum), P.O.S. (Rhymesayers), Solillaquist of Sound, Josh Martinez, and Awol One. Though Die Already is primarily a hip hop album, The Gigantics’ production takes you through alternative, metal, punk, pop, electronic, street, and club, providing a disc that will satisfy any listener.

Since U.D.formed in 1993, Andy, Dizzy and Young Einstein have had the nerve to believe they should make it in the music business. Fiercely independent and musically idealistic, the trio from Long Beach, California has managed to successfully release four self-produced albums which have taken them to almost 30 countries over the past 10 years. Despite the band’s low media profile and often-changing label situations, they have built a unique and wide reputation for delivering soulful, humorous hip-hop and a white-hot live show. To look at them, one might not guess that this band has an accomplished resume of classic singles, consistent sales, critical acclaim, international t.v. and festival appearances and a busy travel schedule with the worn-out passport stamps to prove it but, somehow, they’ve made it happen.

Percussion madman Eric Bobo is the son of jazz legend Willie Bobo and is a current member of Cypress Hill. This release features Cypress Hill MC B Real, Latin hip-hop DJ extraordinaire Tony Touch, NYC MC legend Ill Bill, underground hip-hop super group The Demigodz, and Latin alternative star DJ Toy Selectah. Bobo has also recorded and performed with The Black Crowes, 311, Gnarls Barkley, Rage Against The Machine, Smashing Pumpkins, Ella Fitzgerald, and Fort Minor.

About the Artist
Born and raised in Manhattan, MF Grimm’s name has been buzzing around the NYC hiphop circuit since the early 90s. Then known The Grimm Reaper, he was one half of “The Gravediggaz”. Grimm and his DJ, Roc Raida reeked havoc in the music industry. Spitting fire alongside Kool G Rap and KMD, Grimm was a seasoned battle MC, placing at the World Supremacy Battle of 1993. He was approached by several major labels and about to embark on his superstar journey when he was shot several times in an attempt at his life the following year. Miraculously, Grimm recovered from most of his injury but remains confined to a wheelchair. He went on to release several 12″ singles on Bobitto’s Fondle ‘Em label and also collaborated with MF Doom on numerous projects, executive producing “Operation Doomsday”. Grimm is currently juggling his business skills and his creativity: expanding his label and distribution company, Day By Day Entertainment to cater to Rock as well as hiphop while working on his next album.
